"Full disclosure as I am a person who takes reviews super seriously; I know the author and I was really looking forward to read Andrews book. Andrew and I had so many discussions on so many various topics that by the time I heard he was working on this book about 'Smart Words' I was sold.
I have often wondered why so many unattractive, inexpressive, uninteresting words make it into the everyday lexicon in so many different cultures. In the UK one can hear phrases such as 'bloody hell' and 'wicked' utilized to connote surprises, something unusual and something positive.
Whilst upon a sneeze the polite response in English is....'bless you' and even 'Jesus' in Spanish. From this read you can see how some uses of words are clearly inter-tangled, cross wired and Andrew even offers a solution of what to do about it.
