What Am I Feeling? Dr Josh Straub Christi Straub Books Reviews

  • This book is a must buy! My 4 year old daughter loved this book upon reading! We then pulled out the feelings chart and she identified the feelings as I reinforced the feelings are just a feeling they aren’t in charge of you. I’ve already shared with my mom friends. This book knocked it out of the park. From the text to the illustrations it is amazing. I’m so happy to find something that addresses the big feelings that kids have. I think it’s a great value and amazed it came with the pull out feelings chart.
  • It's changing my life as a mom who just felt overwhelmed and out of control. In the past two weeks I have noticed a huge change in my relationship with my daughter and her outburst have become less and less. All by simply learning to handle my own emotions and recognizing "A feeling is just a feeling, it's not in charge of you." While it's a book aimed at children we as adults can benefit as well.
  • I have had the pleasure of attending two weekend retreats where Dr. Straud has been speaking. The moment he mentioned the book being on , I bought it right then. My children love this book. We read it before going to bed.
  • This book is a gem. It's the sweetest story told from a Christian perspective, teaching children how to name and handle their feelings. When I finished reading the book for the first time to my kids (2 and 4 years old), my 4 year old quickly shouted, "Read it again, Mommy!" They still grab is nightly as one of their favorites. The adorable illustrations really catch their attention as well.
  • Such a cute book! My 3.5 year old twins love this book! It’s at the top of their book requests each night. They love to go and take turns identifying the feelings on the feelings chart.
  • My 3 and 4 year olds like it-- relatively simple emotions/story, but good pictures/poster to go with the emotions. Hope to read it for many years and of course go on.
  • These book is very cute and well written. My daughter really likes the pull-out poster in the back. I think this is a great book for discussing feelings with your kids.
  • This is a MUST READ for all families! It doesn’t matter what ages your children are; it teaches ways to handle emotions and how to go to God in times of emotional needs.
