• I must say it has been quite a while since I read 3 books in 3 days but that is what I just did.They are fast reads and I tore right through them.
  This is one of those series that makes you just HAVE to FINALLY see the end of the evil villain.
  I may have given 5 stars if.....the witches could have had a bit more witch power, I think I may have about as much and I am really not a witch, no matter what anybody says.
  If the characters worried a little more about being murdered,tortured and having their souls ripped from their bodies by the devil.Possibly even sharing their dreams and visions with others that are in the same sinking boat. Or..
  Maybe if they did a little less fooling around or at least a little less thinking about fooling around or actually a little less dreaming about really fooling around. Maybe they could practice some of their magic so it would work when they needed it to.
  I mean I like the smoochie parts as well as the next guy/girl. And on that subject Donna Grant should be required reading for all men.
  
  But I was really into the story. I loved the couples and their love and acceptance of each other. The solid and unending friendships and loyalties. I couldn't wait for the bad guy to get his comeuppance. I am not telling everything because I don't want to spoil it for anyone. But it is exciting.
  This was a grand way to spend 3 cold and gloomy days.
• This really was a fantastic book. It was full of mystery and romance. I loved watching the relationship develop between Serena and Drogan, it was so sweet and natural. There were so many secrets and all were revealed in the perfect amount of time. The book was perfectly paced and kept me wanting more and more. There is quite a bit of talk and action around the two main characters being together (you know, together/together), so if you don't care for that in your books, this might not be for you. It did not take away from the book, though and the story was still great!
• This book is similar to other books for this author in that she does an excellent job of developing characters. I freely admit this is recreational, escape reading. If you enjoy a somewhat formulaic style with excellent sex scenes, you will likely enjoy this.
• First time I've read this author. Drogan was a great hero with a good historical ring to his storey. We were kept guessing until the end. The story line was believable. The pace of the story continually moved forward keeping it interesting. Will definitely read the next two books in the trilogy

• This was different than some of the Highlander books I have read. It was exciting and made want to read more.
• I love all of Donna Grant's books. They have a great mix of romance, sci-fi, magic.
